SOMETHING IS HAPPENING TO ME, I’M CHANGING // Pastor Michael Jackson | Romans 6:1-2, 6-13

🔷 In this sermon, Pastor Michael E. Jackson focuses on the transformational power of salvation as described in Romans 6:1–11. He emphasizes that when a person truly encounters Christ, something begins to happen on the inside—a real, noticeable, Spirit-led change.

Paul’s teaching reminds believers that they are dead to sin and alive to God. Pastor Jackson explains that this isn’t just symbolic language—it’s a spiritual reality. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, believers are given the power to break free from old patterns, old mindsets, and old temptations.

Pastor Jackson highlights three major truths:
1. A Change in Identity
When we unite with Christ, our old self is crucified. We no longer live under the rule of sin. Our identity shifts from who we were to who God is shaping us to be.
2. A Change in Power
Because Christ rose from the dead, believers rise with Him into a new life. This means we are not powerless. The same power that raised Jesus enables us to walk differently, think differently, and respond differently.
3. A Change in Lifestyle
Pastor Jackson stresses that change is not instant perfection but ongoing transformation. Each day, believers “reckon” themselves dead to sin—meaning they continually choose the new life God is working in them. The shift may be gradual, but the evidence becomes visible: new desires, new strength, new discipline, new victory.

The sermon’s message is hopeful and empowering: God is doing something in you. The change may not be finished, but it has begun—and it is real. Through Christ, we walk in newness of life, and the Holy Spirit keeps shaping us into who God created us to be.
