TAKE THE CEILING OFF YOUR FAITH // Pastor Michael Jackson | Matthew 8:3-10, Mark 2:1-12

Matthew 8, a Roman centurion demonstrates faith so remarkable that Jesus says, “I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”
• In Mark 2, four men tear through a roof to lower their paralyzed friend before Jesus — removing a literal ceiling to access a miracle.
• Both stories challenge us to take the ceiling off our faith — to remove the barriers that limit what we believe God can do.

1. Faith Must See Beyond Obstacles
• The centurion believed Jesus didn’t even need to come into his house — just a word was enough.
• The four friends saw the crowd blocking the door, but they refused to stop there. They looked up and found another way.
• Ceiling faith says “it can’t be done.” Roof-breaking faith says, “God will make a way.”

2. Faith Requires Action
• The centurion humbled himself, seeking Jesus for help.
• The friends climbed a roof, carried a burden, and broke through barriers.
• Real faith doesn’t sit back — it moves, presses, and acts until breakthrough comes.

3. Faith Unlocks the Power of Jesus
• Jesus marveled at the centurion’s faith and granted healing instantly.
• Jesus saw the faith of the friends and forgave and healed the paralyzed man.
• When faith removes ceilings, miracles are released.

Application
• What ceilings are limiting your faith? Fear? Past failures? Other people’s opinions? Tradition?
• Just as the friends ripped open the roof, you must tear away doubt and unbelief.
• God is calling you to believe beyond the ceiling — to walk in a faith that expects the impossible and acts boldly on His Word.

• Take the ceiling off your faith!
• Believe like the centurion. Act like the friends.
• When you do, you will see God move in ways that will astonish not just you, but everyone watching.
