In this video, I’m showing you how to make a savory dirty rice filling with ground beef, smoked sausage, tender rice, bell peppers, celery, Creole seasoning, and plenty of melted cheese. Chicken livers are optional, but they add that deep, traditional dirty rice flavor.
The bell peppers get a head start in the oven before everything is layered into a casserole dish and topped with sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese. The result is a comforting Southern-style dinner that’s perfect for feeding the family, meal prepping, or bringing to a gathering.
